2020 Camp Precautions

Double Play Baseball and Softball Camp is taking precautions this summer to help keep everyone healthy and safe. Here are some of the things we'll be doing to ensure the safety of our campers and staff:

  • Rather than giving out t-shirts this year, campers will receive a Double Play Augusta Sportswear 3-ply mask

    • Masks are to be worn by campers during drop-off and pick-up

    • Masks will be worn by staff whenever with-in 6 feet of campers

  • Drop off and pick up each day will be done directly at your child's field with their counselors.

    • Parents will stay in their vehicles during drop-off.

  • Non-contact temperature checks will be done and recorded each day at drop-off. Staff will also have temperatures taken daily.

    • Anyone with a temperature of 100.4 or higher will not be allowed to stay at camp and will not be able to return for the remainder of the week. A partial refund will be given in this case.

  • All campers must bring their own water jugs for the day. Camp will not be providing community water stations and campers will not be sharing waters. Make sure the water jug is labeled with the campers name.

  • Campers should bring hand sanitizer.

  • One camper will be allowed in the bathroom at a time.

  • Campers must bring all of their own equipment - helmet, bat and glove required for each camper.

    • No equipment sharing allowed.

    • Catchers should bring their own gear if they wish to do catching drills.

  • Groups will use the same buckets of balls each day.

  • Distancing will be promoted during drills and equipment and personal belongings will be spaced out

  • Staff will wipe down benches, gate handles, door handles, and other frequently touched surfaces with disinfecting wipes.

  • No gum, seeds, or spitting allowed at camp.

  • No high fives, fist bumps, hand shakes or other forms of contact celebrations allowed at camp.

  • Lunch will not be eaten at camp this year.
